It’s here! I’m super excited to release LemonEtudes, a brand new 4-week composition curriculum supplement that guides students through the process of improvising motives and composing an original etude for their instrument. This can be used with classes / ensembles / studios and more.

Let me just say that I had a BLAST putting this together! I got to write my own etude during the course of producing this curriculum, and I recorded it for your students to view/listen to at the end. My hope is that the students will feel like we are composing alongside each other and that I am guiding them through the process, sharing tips from my experience.
Creating an original work can be incredibly rewarding and I hope that students might feel that positive sense of accomplishment, especially during this challenging time.
This curriculum supplement can be used whether students are meeting in-person, online, or in a hybrid situation. I hope that this project also saves you, the teacher, time. It is a resource that contains clear objectives, clear assignments, connections to National Core Arts Standards, and lots of creative advice from me.
If you have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. I truly hope you find this resource helpful!
